HOW
TO MAKE BURAS
Buras
is traditional food from makassar, every Ramadhan this food always had been
made by my family. Every place was different to make this food. And right now I
will explain how to make buras from by home village. And to make this food was
very simple because did not need more ingredients. Let’s start
The
first, preparing the ingredients to make it. White rice, this rice depends on
you how much will you make, but right now I just used 500 gram white rice.
White rice is the main ingredient to make buras and 2 sheets bay, 300 ml milk
squeezed coconut, water depends on you, 1 spoon salt to give good taste, and
leaf of banana to envelop the buras later.
How to make it?
Wash
the white rice until clean before you cooking. And then cook the white rice
with steamed on the pan until is rate. This function to make the white rice is
soft. Next mix the boiled coconut milk that already given salt and little
water, still slow and cooking until was boil. Then, taking the white rice and
mixing on stew coconut milk. Still slow so that evenly mixing and cooking until
the white rice is ripe. After is ripe, taking little buras to make a shape what
you want. In general shape of buras are oval and triangle. And wrap the white
rice with the leaf of banana. After all of the white rice had been wrap by leaf
of banana the next cooking during a half hour until buras be chewy. Lifting and
throwing the water. And the buras has done and already to eat. My suggestion if
you want to eat the buras will be good if you eat with the hot soup chicken.
