HOW TO MAKE BURAS/BURASA’
Hi... Welcome to my homemade food, friend. If like to try something about food,just try this one. The following is traditional food from my village called BURASA' or BURAS.
BURASA’ is one of traditional food
from South Sulawesi. Many people of bugis (one of ethnic of South Sulawesi and
so Muslim do) make it to welcome eid’ Mubarak. It is difficult to find this
food out from South Sulawesi but DON’T WORRY... it is easy and simple to make
buras, Because we can find the ingredients easily. Next, I will give you the
recipe of how to make delicious BURASA’.
The ingredients are 1 liter Good Quality of
rice, ¾ liter of coconut milk, salt sufficiently, banana leaves to wrap sufficiently, and ropes.
First step, wash the rice with
water until it is completely
clean and until the water of the wash looks clear, then
drain it. Next step, steam the washed rice until it is half
cooked, remove and put it in the basin. Pour the coconut milk then add salt,
stir until the coconut milk smooth and
absorb
with the rice. Next, steam
again the rice until ripe and soft around 15-20 minutes, then take up it. Take the rice then wrap it
with
the banana leaves (size according
to taste), then tie
it with ropes 3-4 bonds. (Do this process until
the rice runs out).
After that, steam again the buras rice during 40 minutes. Last step, raise the buras rice, then refrigerate it. Finally, Buras or Burasa’ is ready to serve.
